CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Many children come to CCBC each week.  It is our desire to give them a safe, comfortable environment that will communicate God’s love for them.  The Children’s Ministry of CCBC offers Sunday School classes to children of ages 3-12 so that they can meaningfully spend their time while their parents attend worship service.  Sunday School materials which include visual aids such as posters, memory verse charts and handwork books are provided to make children appreciate each Bible lesson.  Volunteer workers provide nursery care for ages 2 and under.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Mission statement: To worship, honor, and glorify the body of Christ through all aspects of life (Colossians 3:16-17). As a ministry we will serve as a vessel to bring unification within the congregation to praise the LORD through song (Isaiah 12:5). 

Ministry Purpose: “The music ministry is to act as a vehicle to usher in the presence of God. It is to set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship, enabling (a) the presence of God to move freely among the congregation and (b) each person in the congregation to experience Christ on a personal level. The music ministry should serve as an enhancement to the worship service (Not distraction), preparing the people for the delivery of the Word of God. It is not an end in itself, but neither is it a means of filling gaps in the worship experience. The music ministry should not be used as a piece of scenic background, but rather as an active, participatory, and integral part of the worship service.” – Music Ministry of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 

Goals: Support the principle teachings, core values, and the mission and vision of Cornerstone Christian Baptist Church. (Titus 3:1-2) 

Combine and utilize the skills, efforts, gifts, and talents of each ministry worker within the ministry to fulfill the same purpose. (1 Cor. 12:20, 27)

Lead an example to believers and non-believers alike in what we say, how we live, our love, our faith, and our purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)

Objectives:

Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment within the ministry, respecting and loving everyone. (1 Peter 3:17a) (1 John 4:7)

Regularly attend Cornerstone Christian Baptist Church’s main worship service.

Regularly attend scheduled music ministry practices.

Consistently and faithfully read the bible and apply biblical principles.

Develop and increase knowledge and skill set in musicianship, music theory, instrument performance, and vocal performance respectively to ministry workers’ position within the music ministry.

Manage effective and efficient practice sessions within the amount of time scheduled for ministry practices.

YOUTH MINISTRY

This is a great place to meet other teens and discover their purpose. This ministry is open for ages 12 to 18.  We focus on reaching out to teens in a relevant way through high-energy worship, current messages and an atmosphere that connects with teens.  The goal of this ministry is to see our youth surrender, grow and mature in their walk with Christ, and they in turn point others to Christ also!

YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY

This ministry targets Young adults between the ages of 18 & 30.  They meet on Friday at 7:00 p.m. for a time of worship and relevant bible teaching.  We have events each month so that the young adults can have a time of socializing and fun. The goal of this ministry is to see young adults surrender, grow and mature in their walk with Christ, and they in turn point others to Christ also!

MEN'S MINISTRY

The Men's Ministry of Cornerstone Christian Baptist Church desires to promote the transformation of the men of the church into the image of the ultimate man, Jesus Christ, by providing opportunities for relationship, education, and service in areas that facilitate spiritual growth in the primary male roles of husband, father, son, and laborer so that everyone they encounter will desire to connect to Jesus.

LADIES MINISTRY

Ladies Ministry’s primary goal is to encourage single and married ladies, working and non-working mothers to let them feel their importance as mothers and ladies in the church.  Sometimes, we all get bored with our routine work and household chores and once in a while we need to refresh with other Christian ladies.

PRAYER AND INTERCESSION MINISTRY

This prayer ministry supports through prayer and intercession the needs of the congregation, the pastoral staff, church ministries, the city, county, state, nation, and world.  Prayer requests come from several sources:  prayer and communication cards, e-mails, personal encounters, individual needs, telephone, etc.  These team members fervently pray over all requests received every week.

GROWTH GROUP BIBLE STUDY MINISTRY

One of the exciting ministry of Cornerstone Christian Baptist Church is having Growth Group Bible Study that meets weekly.  In this small group meeting, we then discuss deeper and some controversial topics regarding the Bible and how we will grow more spiritually.  It is also in this occasion that we have an opportunity to know more about each other.

PICTURES AND VIDEO PRODUCTION

This ministry is documenting all of our activities thru pictures and video, to be used in our annual praise reports, face book and websites announcements and promotions. This ministry also provides the essential means of communication between our church, church members, the community and potentially new church members.

PROMOTION AND INFORMATION MINISTRY

This ministry is providing announcement and information of our church activities and upcoming events through videos, dramas, flyers and all kinds of information dissimilation that they can to remind and invites church members and visitors to attend and or avail ministry activities and opportunities.

FOOD PREPARATION MINISTRY

We love to eat and have fellowship with one another.  So, whenever, there is an special Sunday events in our church (Friends, Family, Students, Mothers, Fathers, Veterans Day) or any occasions like Christmas, Church Anniversary, we always have a celebration party.  But then it is very hard to organize what foods we are going to prepare, etc.  We’re so glad that we have several ladies from our church who were more than willing to help in preparing foods.                

WEBSITE MINISTRY

As the Internet becomes more prevalent in our society, it has become commonplace to turn to the Internet for shopping, finding directions, researching products, and even to find a church or seek answers to spiritual questions. When a new person moves into town one of the first things they do to find out where a business or even a church is, is to look on the web. Our church front is now not only a brick and mortar one but we have another church front that is waiting for them on the web. The difference is that a website is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and can draw seekers and future members. The Website Ministry is the place for:  a) answering questions about membership, baby dedication, weddings, church schedules and Bible Studies.

BANNERS AND SIGNS MINISTRY

Our Church Banners and Signs ministry provides the essential means of communication between our church, church members, the community and potentially new church members. This ministry provides these opportunities by putting our Church Banner and Signs at least 1 hour every Sunday and taking it out after the service.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE MINISTRY

We would like to make our church very comfortable for everybody.  Our church represents who we are.  In this manner, the way we make our church presentable, the more people enjoy to worship with us.  We believe that God is the God of order and we want everything to be in proper places.

EVENTS AND SPECIAL SUNDAYS MINISTRY

Whenever we have special events like Christmas, Church Anniversary and Special Banquets, This ministry is concerned with anything that will set the moods of the events. They will also create a souvenir for our special Sundays like Friends, Family, Students, Mothers, Fathers, Veterans Day, etc. If you love to plan and decorates and know how to change an ordinary rooms to a banquet hall. This ministry is for you.
